Artist, researcher and independent curator. Graduated in Visual Arts (Performance) at Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES). Currently is concluding PhD studies in Latin America Contemporary Art at Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP). He has made exchange projects, production and research in contemporary art and since 2007 has dedicated into performance and action art. Coordinates the LAP! _ Laboratório de Ação & Performance. Organizes, with Rubiane Maia, TRAMPOLIM _plataforma de encontro com a arte da performance. Regularly publishes essays specializing in contemporary art for local and international publications such Escáner Cultural (Chile), Reticências… crítica de arte and Tatuí (Brazil), as well giving lectures and workshops on events in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, México, Spain and Sweden. In his performances and urban interventions – extending itself also to video and photography -, the focus is your own body as a territory for experimentation, exploring the time, the contingency and the instability, testing the limits of what he and his audiences can withstand. He has shown works at museums, galleries, projects and festivals in Brazil, United Kingdom, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Bolivia, United States, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Norway, France and Peru. In 2009, was selected for the scholarship to young artists at ECuNHi – Espacio Cultural Nuestros Hijos, of the Fundación Madres de Plaza de Mayo, and the FNA – Fondo Nacional de las Artes, in Argentina. In 2010 was guest international curator of the Festival Internacional de Arte Acción ZONADEARTENACCIÓN ’10, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2011 was member of the organizing committee of the V::E::R – Encontro de Arte Viva, en Terra UNA, Minas Gerais, Brasil and is part of the Diverse Universe Performance Festival, organized by the Non Grata Group, travelling by road around Europe. Actually, is visiting teacher at Svefi – Sverigefinska folkhögskolan, in Haparanda, Sweden.
